Anthony Reeves Killed in Las Vegas Pedestrian Accident on 15 Freeway

 
NORTH LAS VEGAS, NV (January 14, 2025) — A 42-year-old Las Vegas man, Anthony Jomar Reeves, died in an accident on Saturday, January 4.
 
According to the Nevada State Police, the incident happened at around 11:26 p.m. along the 15 Freeway southbound on-ramp, near Highway 147.
 
Nevada State Police said a red 2025 Dodge Ram 1500 Lone Star pickup traveled eastbound on Highway 147, approaching the 15 Freeway southbound on-ramp. Then, a pedestrian outside a marked crosswalk entered the roadway from the south curb.
 
The driver attempted to avoid striking the pedestrian. However, he still hit the man and his vehicle came to rest right after.
 
The pedestrian later identified as Reeves succumbed to injuries sustained in the crash. Emergency responders pronounced him dead on the scene.
 
The driver of the Dodge stayed on the scene and cooperated with investigators.
 
The fatality marks Nevada State Police Highway Patrol Southern Command’s third traffic-related death of the year.
