17-Year-Old Killed, Anthony Duran Arrested in Tucson Hit-and-Run on North La Cholla Boulevard

 
TUCSON, AZ (August 4, 2023) – The Pima County Sheriff’s Department arrested Anthony Duran after a fatal hit-and-run crash on North La Cholla Boulevard on July 24.
 
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at West Wetmore Road around 10:39 PM. Based on a report, officers associated Duran and a 17-year-old juvenile to a hit-and-run.
 
There was an altercation between Duran and the juvenile suspect and another juvenile. The suspects then sped off in a car, dragging the victim behind.
 
As a result, the victim sustained injuries and died at the hospital.
 
Deputies booked Duran and the juvenile for reckless manslaughter into the Pima County Jail.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
