Ana Gonzalez-Ruiz Identified in Fatal Midland County Crash
MIDLAND COUNTY, TX (January 3, 2022) – Officials identified 35-year-old Ana Isabel Gonzalez-Ruiz of Moriarty, New Mexico who died in a car crash on County Road 130 on December 20.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at the intersection of Highway 349. Based on a report, Gonzalez-Ruiz was driving eastbound on CR 130 prior to the crash.
At the same time, another vehicle was traveling southbound on 349. Due to unknown reasons, Gonzalez-Ruiz did not stop at the stop sign and was hit in the intersection by the other vehicle.
As a result, Gonzalez-Ruiz suffered severe injuries in the incident. Paramedics transported her to Medical Center Hospital, where she later died.
Gonzalez-Ruiz was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the cash. The other driver involved in the crash did not sustain any injuries.
As of now, the accident is currently under investigation.
