Amancio Hildago, Juan Cortez and Kevin Montesinos Identified in Fatal Fresno County Crash

 
FRESNO COUNTY, CA (May 23, 2023) – Officers identified 77-year-old Amancio Hildago, 53-year-old Juan Cortez and 21-year-old Kevin Cruz Montesinos who died in a semi-truck crash on Highway 33 on May 18.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near Manning Avenue. Based on a report, Cortez was driving a Toyota sedan west on the highway prior to the crash.
 
At the intersection’s stop sign, the sedan crossed against a red flashing light and collided with the truck.
 
As a result, Cortez and his passenger, Montesinos, died at the scene. Hildago, a second passenger, later died at the hospital.
 
The truck driver stopped and cooperated with the police.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
