Semi-Truck Driver Allan Cline Involved in DUI Accident in Tacoma
TACOMA, WA (December 5, 2024) – Authorities arrested 45-year-old Allan Joseph Cline following a semi-truck accident on Highway 16 on November 15.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened near Sprague Avenue at approximately 4:45 PM. Based on a report, Cline was driving a semi-truck when it overturned and crashed into two vehicles near the Sprague Avenue ramp.
As a result, one driver had a fracture to their neck and skull and the other had fractured ribs. Emergency crews rushed both victims to the hospital for treatment.
Authorities said Cline’s alcohol level was at .398, nearly five times the state’s legal limit of .08.
Prosecutors charged him with two counts of vehicular assault, both with added designations of driving under the influence.
The court also barred the suspect from driving commercial vehicles, and he must use an ignition interlock device on his personal vehicle.
