Alicia Ashby Identified in Fatal Car Accident on Lincoln Avenue in Yakima
YAKIMA, WA (January 4, 2023) – Officials identified 30-year-old Alicia Ashby as the victim who died in a car accident in the 300 block of E Lincoln Avenue on December 19.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened at approximately 5:15 AM. According to reports, Ashby’s car crashed into a tree. The Yakima Police Department said the victim and another woman were passengers in a Subaru Impreza.
Prior to the crash, the Chevy was headed west on Lincoln. Then, its 25-year-old driver crashed the car and reportedly ran from the scene.
As a result, Ashby died from her injuries at the hospital.
The other woman is still recovering from her injuries.
Later on, officers found and arrested the driver of the Chevy. They booked him into the Yakima County Jail on suspicion of driving under the influence, hit-and-run, and vehicular homicide charges.
