DENVER, CO (March 14, 2024)Alexis Hamed suffered injuries in a hit-and-run crash on 5th Avenue and Inca Street on March 1.
 
According to Denver Police Department, a pickup truck pulling a trailer struck a car. After that, it hit a house. The struck vehicle went flying through a fence. It then came to rest in the yard of a 77-year-old woman.
 
The woman’s daughter said the damaged pickup truck was able to take off and was only able to go a few blocks away. However, the driver fled on foot and ran from the corner of 3rd Avenue and Inca Street.
 
Olivia Jimenez, who was in a wheelchair, was in the home. She was not hurt. However, Jimenez said the collision shattered her windows and caused the items inside her house to crash.
 
The driver of the car that was hit, Hamed, sustained injuries. Paramedics brought him to the hospital. He said that the pickup truck ran a stop sign prior to hitting him.
 
Denver police continue to look for the hit-and-run driver. So far, the Denver Police Department has not released a description of the driver.
