Alexandro Hernandez-Herrera Arrested, Man Killed in Las Vegas Pedestrian Accident

 
LAS VEGAS, NV (January 4, 2024) — Officials arrested 29-year-old Alexandro Hernandez-Herrera in a pedestrian accident on Sunday, December 24.
 
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police, the accident happened at about 6:15 p.m. on Lamb Boulevard near Judson Avenue.
 
Investigators said Hernandez-Herrera drove a 2023 Tesla Model 3 north on Lamb in the right lane. At the same time, a 41-year-old man crossed Lamb outside of a marked or implied crosswalk.
 
Vehicles moving north on Lamb slowed for the pedestrian. However, the Tesla hit him as the vehicle changed lanes to the left. First responders pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene.
 
Hernandez-Herrera cooperated with investigators. Police said he showed signs of intoxication. They booked him on suspicion of DUI.
 
LVMPD says the incident marks the 152nd traffic-related fatality in their jurisdiction this 2023.
