Alex Ventura Arrested for DUI, 6 Children Injured in Houston Car Crash on Mykawa Road

 
HOUSTON, TX (September 16, 2022) – Police charged Alex Ventura with DUI following a crash on Mykawa Road near Airport Boulevard on August 28.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened around 6:00 PM when intoxicated 28-year-old Ventura of El Salvador slammed his box truck into the back of a blue Hyundai waiting at a red light. Subsequently, the impact caused the Hyundai to hit three other cars in front of it.
 
As a result, six children suffered serious injuries in the incident. One of the victims had a skull fracture and was placed in the Intensive Care Unit. The other victims have broken legs.
 
Ventura was charged with one count of intoxication assault and is in Harris County Jail on $25,000 bail. As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing.
