Lois Jensen Dies after Abilene Car Accident in Barrow Street Parking Lot

 
ABILENE, TX (October 13, 2022) – Police identified 97-year-old Lois Jensen as the victim who died in a parking lot accident in the 2500 block of Barrow Street on October 8.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at about 4:40 PM.
 
Based on a report, a 72-year-old woman was trying to move her SUV while her passengers were outside of the vehicle. Without her knowing, Jensen was still holding onto the SUV’s door handle. As the driver moved the vehicle, the victim fell and hit the pavement.
 
As a result, the Abilene Police Department said Jensen died from her injuries at the hospital.
 
The APD said alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the accident. As of now, no further information is available.
