Hugh Hall Identified in Fatal Wrong-Way Crash in Robertson County

 
ROBERTSON COUNTY, TX (January 13, 2025) – Authorities identified 82-year-old Hugh Hall of Gatesville who died in a head-on crash on Highway 79 on January 9.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Rolke Ranch Road around 9:38 AM. Based on a report, Hall was driving a 2022 Ford F-150 southbound on the northbound lanes of the highway.
 
At the same time, a 2010 Freightliner 18-wheeler was northbound on the road. The truck driver tried to take evasive action but a crash occurred between the two vehicles.
 
As a result, Hall suffered grave injuries and died at the scene.
 
The Freightliner driver was transported to St Joseph Hospital in Bryan with minor injuries.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
