81-Year-Old George Stepp Struck and Killed by Vehicle on Main Street in Lewisville
LEWISVILLE, TX (July 18, 2024) – The Lewisville Police Department identified 81-year-old George Stepp of Flower Mound who died in a pedestrian accident on Main Street on June 29.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened shortly before 9:30 AM. Based on a report, the victim was in the parking lot of a McDonald’s at the time of the incident.
A red Toyota truck was backing out of a parking spot when it suddenly accelerated quickly, hitting Stepp who was walking out of the restaurant.
As a result, Stepp suffered grave injuries and died at the scene.
Lewisville police say they are investigating if the driver had a possible medical incident causing the sudden acceleration.
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
