One Killed in Yakima Pedestrian Accident on 72nd Avenue and Tieton Drive
YAKIMA, WA (November 3, 2023) — A man suffered fatal injuries in a pedestrian accident on 72nd Avenue on Wednesday, October 25.
According to a news release from the Yakima Police Department, officers responded to the intersection of 72nd Avenue and Tieton Drive at 7:07 a.m.
YPD said the 74-year-old man tried to cross Tieton Drive in a crosswalk. At the same time, a 52-year-old woman driving a car took a left turn from 72nd Avenue and then stuck the man.
Paramedics transported the man to Multicare Memorial Hospital, where he later died from sustained injuries.
Authorities said impairment did not contribute to the crash.
