MCCLEARY, WA (August 12, 2024) – Authorities confirmed that a 70-year-old man from Port Angeles died in a crash on Highway 108 on July 17.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened at Highway 8. Based on a report, the man was stopped on the westbound side of the highway before the crash.
 
He attempted to make a left turn when he failed to yield the right of way to another vehicle.
 
The other driver tried to change lanes but still crashed into his car.
 
As a result, the victim suffered grave injuries in the incident. Emergency crews transported him to Summit Pacific Medical Center in Elma, where he later died. Officials did not yet release his name, pending kin notification.
 
A couple from Yelm were in the other vehicle and also sustained injuries.
 
At this point, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
