70-Year-Old Hymavathi Pakalapati Identified in Fatal Crash on Highway 45 in Navarro County

 
NAVARRO COUNTY, TX (November 20, 2023) – Officials identified 70-year-old Hymavathi Pakalapati of Irving who died in a crash on Highway 45 on November 9.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened around 3:40 PM. Based on a report, 51-year-old Suresh B. Pakalapati of Irving was driving a 2014 Honda Odyssey on the highway at an unsafe speed at the time of the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, the vehicle left the roadway to the east, traveled over a creek, and struck an embankment.
 
As a result, Hymavathi Pakalapati, a passenger in the vehicle, suffered grave injuries and died at the scene. He was not wearing a seatbelt.
 
Suresh Pakalapati was wearing a seatbelt and sustained non-incapacitating injuries. Crews transported the driver to Navarro Regional Hospital in Corsicana. The other passengers in the vehicle, 40-year-old Deepthi Veeramachaneni, 8-year-old Sudarsh Pakalapati, and 2-year-old Devansh Pakalapati, all of Irving, Texas, were wearing seatbelts and also sustained non-incapacitating injuries. They were also transported to Navarro Regional Hospital.
 
As of now, the case remains under investigation. In addition, no other details are available.
