Betsey Rolston Dead in Killeen Police Chase Accident

 
KILLEEN, TX (February 17, 2025) — 67-year-old Betsey Rolston, of Killeen, died in a police chase crash on Wednesday, February 5.
 
According to the Killeen Police, the crash occurred around 11:53 a.m. on Trimmier Road near Grandon Drive.
 
Killeen Police said officers attempted to stop a gray Jeep reported stolen. The driver refused to stop and continued south on Trimmier Road. Then it swerved into the northbound lane to evade the police.
 
The Jeep collided with a silver sedan driven by Rolston. The impact caused her vehicle to hit a black pickup truck, which rolled onto its side.
 
Rolston died at the scene. Meanwhile, the pickup truck driver sustained injuries. Paramedics arrived and then brought the pickup driver to Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in Temple.
 
Two suspects, aged 14 and 15, fled the Jeep on foot but were quickly apprehended. They later identified and arrested a third 15-year-old suspect who initially escaped.
 
All three suspects are in Bell County Juvenile Detention Center awaiting formal charges. Officials did not disclose their identities due to their ages.
