Pedestrian Struck and Killed in Accident on Blacow Road in Fremont
FREMONT, CA (December 13, 2022) – The Fremont Police Department confirmed that one woman died in a pedestrian accident on Blacow Road on December 2.
Based on investigation, the accident happened near Royal Palm Drive at around 7:42 a.m. The 41-year-old pedestrian was on the southeast corner of Blacow Road at Calaveras Avenue. She crossed the road after the signal turned to “walk” and headed west. She was already crossing the southbound side when a vehicle struck her.
Responders immediately transported her to a hospital, but she succumbed to her injuries and died.
Authorities said a 43-year-old woman was driving the vehicle at the time of the accident. She remained at the scene to cooperate with the investigation.
Intoxication was ruled out, police say.
