David Flowers Survives Fatal Rollover Crash on 40 Freeway in Oldham County

 
OLDHAM COUNTY, TX (February 28, 2025) – Authorities identified 37-year-old David Flowers of Ocala, Florida who suffered injuries in a fatal crash on 40 Freeway on February 18.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened in the freeway’s eastbound lane at approximately 5:15 PM. Based on a report, Flowers was driving a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado towing a travel trailer on the road at the time of the crash.
 
For an unknown reason, the pickup left the roadway and entered the south ditch. Flowers overcorrected the steering to the left, causing the pickup and the trailer to enter a side skid. The pickup then traveled back across the eastbound lanes and into the center median, where it rolled over. The move detached the travel trailer from the pickup.
 
As a result, Flowers’ 16-year-old girl passenger suffered grave injuries and died in the incident.
 
Flowers was wearing a seatbelt and suffered non-life threatening injuries.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
