20-Year-Old Konnor Taylor Seriously Injured in Fatal Crash on Highway 103 in Lufkin
LUFKIN, TX (January 12, 2023) – Officers identified 20-year-old Konnor Taylor of Lufkin as the victim who suffered serious injuries in a crash on Highway 103 on January 4.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened shortly before 9:00 PM.
Based on a report, 37-year-old Terry Vaught of Longview was driving an 18-wheeler truck on the highway prior to the crash. Subsequently, he pulled out in front of Taylor’s 2009 Chevrolet pickup truck and a collision occurred.
As a result, a 15-year-old passenger in the truck died in the incident. Officials did not yet release the victim’s name, pending kin notification.
Taylor had serious injuries while Vaught was not hurt in the accident.
As of now, the case remains under investigation. In addition, no other details are available.
