15-Year-Old Car Driver Investigated after Crash with Another Vehicle on Highway 2 in Colbert

 
COLBERT, WA (October 4, 2022) – Officers are now investigating a 15-year-old driver following a wrong-way crash on September 11.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened on Highway 2 at Norwood Road around 8:00 PM.
 
Based on a report, the teen driver was driving a Toyota Camry northbound in the southbound lanes of the highway. Subsequently, she hit a southbound Nissan Sentra head-on. In the end, the Nissan rolled over and came to rest on its top in the median.
 
The 15-year-old driver was not hurt. However, her 13-year-old male passenger suffered a possible broken arm and leg. Paramedics transported the victim to Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane for treatment.
 
In addition, crews took the 20-year-old Nissan driver of the second car and a one-month-old baby girl to Sacred Heart Medical Center for a precaution.
 
WSP did not release the name of the 15-year-old driver because she is a juvenile. However, detectives are investigating the crash.
