MCKINNEY, TX (January 6, 2025) — A 14-year-old pedestrian identified as Jamir Dabney died in a hit-and-run on Saturday, December 21.
 
According to the McKinney police, the incident occurred near Lake Forest Drive and Highlands Drive at around 6:14 p.m.
 
McKinney police said a driver struck the 14-year-old and then drove off.
 
Another vehicle remained at the scene to help the boy. After that, emergency crews transported him to the hospital. They later pronounced him dead.
 
McKinney police described the vehicle that struck the boy as a dark 4-door sedan with possible front-end damage. It also has a damaged passenger-side mirror.
