Teen E-Bike Rider Critical after Crash on Val Vista Drive in Gilbert

 
GILBERT, AZ (February 14, 2024) – The Gilbert Police Department confirmed that a 13-year-old suffered serious injuries in an E-bike accident on Val Vista Drive on February 6.
 
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Elliot Road shortly before 8:00 PM. Based on a report, a vehicle hit the boy who was riding his bike near the intersection.
 
As a result, the victim was severely hurt in the crash. Emergency crews transported him to an East Valley hospital with critical injuries.
 
Police did not suspect impairment as a factor in the incident.
