Fatal Wrong-Way Crash on 60 Freeway in City of Industry, Wrong-Way Driver Wanted

 
CITY OF INDUSTRY, CA (March 27, 2023) – Officials confirmed that a 12-year-old child died in a wrong-way crash on 60 Freeway on March 22.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at Crossroads Parkway around 5:00 AM. Based on a report, a Hyundai sedan collided with a big rig on the westbound side of Crossroads Parkway.
 
Subsequently, it fled the scene and drove the wrong way on the freeway, causing a crash with four more vehicles. Then, the driver of the sedan fled the crash scene on foot.
 
As a result, a girl from another vehicle involved in the second crash suffered grave injuries and died at the scene. Officials did not yet release her name, pending kin notification.
 
Crews transported a second to a hospital in unknown condition.
 
An investigation into the case is ongoing. However, no other information is known at this time.
