Tzu-Ta Ko Struck and Killed by Hit-and-Run Driver in Oakland
OAKLAND, CA (February 27, 2023) – Officers identified 100-year-old Tzu-Ta Ko as the victim who died in a hit-and-run on 19 Street on February 18.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened just east of Travel Village shortly after 7:00 AM.
Based on a report, the victim walking at the time of the crash. The Oakland Police Department said a vehicle struck him and fled the scene.
As a result, the centenarian suffered severe head trauma from the collision. Fire and ambulance crews rendered aid, but he died at the scene.
As of now, an investigation into the case to identify and locate the hit-and-run driver. In addition, no other details are available.
