Fatal Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Accident on Evergreen Way in Everett

 
EVERETT, WA (March 10, 2023) Everett Police confirmed that one person died in a hit-and-run in the 4900 block of Evergreen Way on March 1.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened just before 10:30 PM.
 
Based on a report, a vehicle struck the victim and left the scene. Reports showed that the pedestrian died in the incident.
 
Witnesses reported that the vehicle was a blue Mustang. Subsequently, an officer saw the vehicle with a shattered rear window driving at a high rate of speed on Evergreen near Highway 526.
 
The officer pulled over the vehicle and after an initial denial, the driver of the Mustang admitted to fleeing the crash, saying he was in a state of shock.
 
As a result, the officer arrested the driver for hit-and-run death.
 
At this point, an investigation into the accident is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
