Jeffrey Burton Suffers Serious Injuries in Grayson County Crash, Samuel Mozo Arrested

 
GRAYSON COUNTY, TX (December 27, 2022) – Officers identified 61-year-old Jeffrey Burton of Farmersville as the victim who suffered serious injuries in a car crash on Highway 69 on December 22.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Shaffer Road around 03:00 AM. Based on a report, 31-year-old Samuel Mozo of Denison was driving a Ford van, traveling north on the freeway prior to the crash.
 
At the same time, Burton’s Chevrolet SUV was traveling south. Due to unknown reasons, the Ford crossed the center of the roadway and struck the Chevy.
 
As a result, Burton was seriously injured in the incident. Paramedics took him to Texoma Medical Center for treatment with Mozo, who had minor injuries.
 
Police arrested Mozo on Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and DWI.
 
As of now, the case remains under investigation.
