MERCED COUNTY, CA (February 24, 2025) – A male driver died following a crash on Highway 99 on Sunday midnight, February 16.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal incident happened at Mission Avenue.
 
Reports revealed that the motorcyclist traveled off the roadway and crashed into the center median barrier.
 
The 49-year-old motorcyclist died at the scene, police said.
 
The motorcyclist’s passenger also suffered major injuries and was treated at a hospital.
