Gloria Molina Fatally Injured in El Paso Pedestrian Accident
EL PASO, TX (January 14, 2025) — A 77-year-old Las Cruces woman, Gloria Molina, died in a pedestrian accident on Sunday, January 5.
According to El Paso Police, the accident happened at a Speedway gas station at 4990 Doniphan Drive near Mesa Street at about 12:41 p.m.
El Paso Police said the incident happened when behind the wheel of a 2023 Porsche Macan was at a gas pump. Then Molina exited the business and walked into the parking lot.
The man in the Porsche identified as 23-year-old Alejandro Gonzalez drove forward. He did notice Molina and hit her with the vehicle.
Emergency responders arrived and then airlifted Molina to a local hospital. However, she died from sustained injuries.
Officials identified driver inattention as the contributing factor in the accident. As of writing, there are no reports if Gonzalez will face any charges.
This incident was the second traffic-related death in the City of El Paso this year.
