David Caporicci and Daren Elizondo Killed after Pueblo Car Accident

 
PUEBLO, CO (January 6, 2025) — David Caporicci and Daren Elizondo died following a solo car crash on Thursday, December 19.
 
According to the Pueblo Police Department, the accident occurred a little after 2:00 a.m. on Pueblo Boulevard between Vinewood Lane and O’Neal Avenue.
 
Pueblo police said the vehicle traveled at a high rate of speed on Pueblo Boulevard. Then, as the vehicle approached the curve, it struck a guardrail. After that, it crashed through a fence and landed in the backyard of a home on Taylor Lane.
 
There were reportedly four passengers in the vehicle when the crash occurred. According to the Pueblo County Coroner, 25-year-old David Caporicci and 26-year-old Daren Elizondo died in the incident.
 
Officials closed Pueblo Boulevard for several hours during the crash investigation.
 
PPD said they consider alcohol as a factor in the incident.
