MIDLAND, TX (December 1, 2024) – Midland Police identified 77-year-old James Holman Jr. who suffered serious injuries in a crash in the 3300 block of Mark Lane on November 12.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened around 11:48 AM. Based on a report, Holman Jr. was behind the wheel of a 2000 Mazda pickup that had stopped on the road before the crash.
 
Subsequently, he moved and failed to yield the right of way to a semi-truck traveling west on Wadley Avenue. At that point, the two vehicles collided in the intersection.
 
As a result, Holman sustained life-threatening injuries in the collision. Emergency crews transported him to Midland Memorial Hospital for treatment.
 
The driver of the truck was not hurt in the incident.
