Esther Saylee Killed, Two Injured in Austin Car Accident

 
AUSTIN, TX (October 17, 2024) — A 90-year-old woman identified as Esther Saylee died in a two-vehicle accident on Saturday, September 28.
 
According to the Austin Police Department, the crash occurred shortly before 6:30 p.m. at the intersection of Great Hills Trail and North Capital of Texas Highway.
 
Austin Police said an SUV ran a red light through the intersection. Then it crashed with a hatchback sedan as the sedan drove through a green light.
 
Saylee, who was a passenger in the SUV, died at a local hospital.
 
Meanwhile, paramedics transported two other passengers from the SUV to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
 
The drivers stayed at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
 
The investigation of the incident is still underway.
