Austin Coon Dies in Phoenix Pedestrian Accident on 35th Avenue and Peoria Avenue

 
PHOENIX, AZ (September 10, 2024) — 27-year-old Austin Coon died in a pedestrian accident on Thursday, August 29.
 
According to the Phoenix Police, the incident took place on 35th Avenue and Peoria Avenue at around Thursday noon.
 
Investigators said two vehicles crashed at the intersection of 35th Avenue and Peoria Avenue. Then one vehicle went off the road onto a nearby sidewalk where it hit multiple pedestrians.
 
Phoenix police and fire crews responded to the scene. When they arrived, they found two adults with serious injuries. One of them, later identified as Coon, died at the scene.
 
Paramedics transported the second person to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Her identity was not immediately available.
 
Authorities continue to investigate the crash.
