Mia Valencia Identified in Fatal Motorcycle Accident in Pima County
PIMA COUNTY, AZ (May 24, 2024) – The Pima County Sheriff’s Department identified 21-year-old Mia Valencia who died in a motorcycle accident on General Hitchcock Highway on May 10.
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at milepost 5 around 8:30 PM. Based on a report, Valencia was a motorcycle passenger heading south on the highway at the time of the crash.
Due to unknown reasons, the motorcycle hit a guardrail while negotiating a turn at milepost 5. The impact threw Valencia onto the roadway.
As a result, the victim suffered grave injuries and died at the scene.
The driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
