SAN ANTONIO, TX (February 9, 2024) — A car accident claimed the life of 35-year-old Sandra Martinez on Friday, February 2.
 
According to the San Antonio Police Department, the crash happened at about 8:30 p.m. on Gibbs Sprawl Road near Rittiman Road on the Northeast Side.
 
Police said for unknown reasons, Martinez veered into oncoming traffic. Then, she crashed into an SUV. The impact of the collision pushed her sedan onto the embankment near the railroad tracks.
 
EMS responders pronounced Martinez dead at the scene.
 
There are no reports of whether anyone in the SUV suffered any injuries.
