Calory Wabusia Arrested in Fatal Accident on Research Boulevard [Austin, TX]

One Killed, Calory Wabusia Arrested for DUI in Accident in Austin

 
AUSTIN, TX (July 25, 2024) – The Austin Police Department arrested 54-year-old Calory Wabusia following a fatal accident in the 11800 block of Research Boulevard on July 4.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened near Duval Road around 1:09 AM. Based on a report, Wabusia was driving a gray SUV northbound on the road at the time of the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, he struck a stalled blue SUV from behind.
 
As a result, a passenger of the blue SUV suffered grave injuries and died at the scene. Officials only described the victim as an Asian male.
 
The driver of the blue SUV was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries while Wabusia sustained minor injuries. Officers later arrested him for DWI.
