Renee Gonzalez Struck and Killed by 18-Year-Old Driver on Highway 199 in Springtown
SPRINGTOWN, TX (February 28, 2025) – Authorities identified 65-year-old Renee Gonzalez who died in a pedestrian accident on Highway 199 on February 17.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at approximately 10:10 PM. Based on a report, Gonzalez was standing in the road before the incident.
At the same time, 18-year-old Grace Hamblin of Azle, Texas, was traveling east in a 2017 Honda Accord. Due to unknown reasons, Hamblin struck Gonzalez.
As a result, the victim suffered grave injuries and died at the scene.
The road conditions were reported as dry at the time of the accident. Police said Hamblin was not hurt in the accident.
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
