Amber Dahl Charged in Castle Rock Car Accident on Spirit Lake Highway
CASTLE ROCK, WA (May 30, 2023) – Police will charge 42-year-old Amber D. Dahl of Castle Rock with negligent driving and improper lane usage following a head-on crash on Spirit Lake Highway on May 25.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened shortly before 2:31 PM. Based on a report, Dahl was driving a green 1996 Geo Tracker east on the highway prior to the crash.
At the same time, 49-year-old Jason E. Grothen of Longview was heading west in a white 2005 Chevrolet Silverado.
Due to unknown reasons, Dahl crossed the center line and struck the Chevy head-on.
As a result, both Dahl and Grothen were hurt in the incident. In addition, Grothen’s passenger, 43-year-old Melanie D McMaster of Kelso also suffered injuries. Emergency crews transported them to a nearby hospital for medical attention.
Police confirmed that Dahl could face charges.
