His Honda struck a Mazda CX-5 head driven by 37-year-old Garcia, of Kennewick, north in the northbound lanes of the highway. Paramedics rushed Garcia via ambulance to Lourdes Medical Center in Pasco. Meanwhile, they rushed Diego to Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland. Both wore their seat belts when the crash occurred. Both drivers have pending DUI charges. In addition, they could also charge Diego with driving in the wrong direction and without headlights, WSP said.
