Fatal Spokane Hit-and-Run on North Browne Street and West Main Avenue

 
SPOKANE, WA (June 25, 2024) — A woman died in a hit-and-run on North Browne Street on Tuesday, June 11.
 
According to the Spokane Police Department, the vehicle vs. pedestrian crash took place near North Browne Street and West Main Avenue at about 1:00 p.m.
 
SPD said they received reports that there was a woman on the road who appeared unconscious. Paramedics brought her to the hospital for treatment. However, she later died from sustained injuries.
 
Officers with the Major Crimes Unit also arrived in the area to help with patrol officers. Spokane police are still searching for the vehicle involved.
