Trina Newman-Townsend Identified in Fatal Pedestrian Accident on Broadway in Los Angeles
LOS ANGELES, CA (January 3, 2022) – The Los Angeles Police Department identified Trina Newman-Townsend as the victim who died in a pedestrian accident on Broadway on December 24.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at 88th Street around 3:27 PM.
Based on a report, the woman was in the road prior to the crash. Subsequently, a vehicle struck her and left the scene.
As a result, Newman-Townsend suffered grave injuries in the incident. The Los Angeles County coroner’s office pronounced her dead at the scene.
Relatives told reporters at the scene that Newman-Townsend was a woman in her 60s, described as a retired minister, a mother and a grandmother who helped raise foster children.
As of now, an investigation is ongoing to locate and identify the vehicle and its driver.
