PHOENIX, AZ (October 8, 2024) – The Phoenix Police Department identified 67-year-old Modesto Cortez who died in a hit-and-run on 19th Avenue on September 30.

According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Roosevelt Street. Based on a report, 21-year-old Luis Zuno Ybarra was driving a gray Nissan Sentra during the crash.
