MONUMENT, CO (September 25, 2024) — A man died in a motorcycle accident on 25 Freeway on Monday, September 16.
 
According to the Colorado State Patrol, the crash occurred at about 4:36 a.m. on the southbound 25 Freeway.
 
CSP said the accident happened when a motorcycle rear-ended a Ford F-350 hauling a pickup.
 
Officers confirmed that the motorcyclist died in the collision. As of writing, his name was not yet available, but reports identified him as a 26-year-old man.
 
The driver of the truck and a passenger sustained minor injuries.
 
Authorities consider speed as a contributing factor in the accident.
 
The crash caused delays as crews cleared the area and investigated. They reopened all closed southbound lanes of the freeway after 8:00 a.m.
