MIDLAND, TX (December 12, 2024) – The Midland Police Department identified 56-year-old Felipe U. Silva who died in a pedestrian accident on South Lamesa Road on December 7.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Wall Street around 10:40 PM. Based on a report, Silva was standing in the middle of the road at the time of the incident.
 
A man driving a 2007 GMC pickup traveling north in the outside lane of the road hit him. MPD said the driver attempted to avoid the victim but was unable to.
 
As a result, the victim suffered grave injuries and died at the scene.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
