Fatal Lubbock Car Accident on Marsha Sharp Freeway

 
LUBBOCK, TX (May 8, 2023) – The Lubbock Police Department confirmed that five people died in an accident in the 7000 block of Marsha Sharp Freeway on May 6.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened shortly before 1:30 AM. Based on a report, two vehicles crashed in the lanes.
 
As a result, Lubbock police said three people died at the scene.
 
One person suffered severe injuries and emergency crews took another to University Medical Center with serious injuries. Subsequently, reports showed that both died, bringing the total fatalities to five.
 
LPD’s Major Crash Investigation Unit is investigating this crash.
