Billie Brazell Dies in Lubbock Car Accident

 
LUBBOCK, TX (January 4, 2024) – 83-year-old Billie Brazell died in a car accident on 21st Street and Mitchell Street on Monday afternoon, December 25.

According to the Clovis Police Department, the incident occurred around 2:19 p.m. It involved a Dodge Charger driven by a 24-year-old male and a Toyota Corolla driven by Brazell.

Initial investigation reported that while heading west on 21st Street and attempting to turn south onto Mitchell Street, Brazell’s vehicle was struck by the Toyota Corolla heading east on 21st Street.

Authorities furthered that before the collision with the Toyota Corolla, the Dodge charger has been racing a truck.

Medics conducted life-saving measures to Brazell but she eventually died at the scene, police said.

Clovis Fire also extracted the driver of the Charger. Their sustained injuries and condition remains unknown.
