Wrong-Way Crash on Highway 84 Kills Teen in Limestone County

 
LIMESTONE COUNTY, TX (February 21, 2023) – Officers confirmed that a 17-year-old girl died in a car crash on Highway 84 on February 16.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened near LCR-368, east of Prairie Hill.
 
Based on a report, the victim was a passenger of a Toyota Camry traveling westbound on the highway at the time of the crash. At the same time, there was a Ford Conversion van traveling eastbound.
 
Due to unknown reasons, the Ford drove onto the wrong side and crashed into the front of the Toyota Camry.
 
As a result, the victim suffered severe injuries and died at the scene. Officials did not yet release her name, pending kin notification.
 
Crews transported the other occupants of both vehicles to nearby hospitals for treatment of injuries.
 
As of now, the case remains under investigation.
